Technical characteristics and differences between Standard and Plus NPK-lines
The water-soluble mineral fertilizers or NPK present in the market are generally known for having a good ratio in terms of functioning and cost. The suppliers of these formulations are many and there is no farmer in the World that does not use them on his/her crops.
All the products in the category WATER SOLUBLE MINERAL FERTILIZERS of PROTEO INTERNATIONAL S.r.l. are characterized for the recognizable quality under different aspects. All the formulations available are obtained from selected raw materials having very high purity and solubility in all the types of water. This aspect, often under-estimated in its importance, has practical consequence in the daily work of the farmers. Moreover, this results in high assimilability and rapidity of action by the plants.
On NPK, the topic is usually focused on the ratio between the three mains nutritional elements and price. Only rarely distributors, retailers and farmers focus the attention on the technical specifications such as solubility, pH and electrical conductivity which are always reported in our Technical data sheets.
PROTEO INTERNATIONAL S.r.l. has basically two lines of NPK for the purpose of fitting with the heterogeneous needs deriving from a wide variety of end clients.
In detail, the Plus Line has the microelements that complete the formulations in chelated form while in the Standard Line only Iron is chelated. In general, the total amount w/w of the micronutrients present in the Plus line is higher than that in the Standard Line.
The values of solubility and electrical conductivity in the formulations of the Standard Line are excellent but those of the Plus Line are even better (higher solubility and lower electrical conductivity).
The last point of differentiation between the two lines is that the formulations in the Plus Line have been enriched with adhesive compounds to improve deliquescence and stickiness of the drops of nutrient solution in foliar application. This aspect is particularly useful in windy and/or sunny environment, or in all cases in which the weather conditions change rapidly, because allows a better absorption by the plants of the supplied elements.
