PROTEO INTERNATIONAL S.r.l. – Trip to Colombia

In April 2018 PROTEO INTERNATIONAL S.r.l. has been in Colombia to give technical support to our distributor and to farmers.

Our staff, landed in Bogotá, has been involved in meetings both with the importer and farmers in different areas of the Country.

In the North-West of the capital, our staff has met the direction of a Company that grows flowers (e.g. rose, sunflower, carnation) in protected cultivation systems and, after the introduction of the products registered in Colombia, several experimental trials have been defined. A similar activity of introduction of the portfolio of products, the understanding of the special needs of the farmer, field visits and definition of trials has been done in the area of Subachoque, which is popular for the extensive cultivation of strawberry. Another important crop on which our staff has worked with the same approach during the onsite visit is mango.

The time spent in Colombia has been optimized with meetings with the importer to discuss about products, competitors, short and long terms strategies, marketing activities, participation at fairs and registration of new products.
